Tony has over 30 years’ researching experience within the transport sector, specialising in understanding, predicting and influencing travel behaviour. His expertise covers all modes of transport including traditional, active and emerging modes.

Tony has extensive experience working in rail franchise teams, having been seconded to the Stagecoach and Virgin Trains bid teams and, most recently, with the UK Department for Transport bid specification and bid evaluation teams. He has been seconded to Transport for London to support their response to the Roads Task Force and to help develop the Transport for London Classification of Londoners. Before working at Steer, Tony worked in the oil sector as an analyst.

Tony is a certified member of the Market Research Society and has overall responsibility for ensuring that our market research work satisfies or exceeds the required standards of conduct. Tony’s role includes responsibility for evaluating the company’s recent behaviour change programmes in the UK and US.
