Vernon has over 30 years’ experience as a practitioner, supplier and adviser in the rail sector. He is an expert in rail operations processes, interoperability, scheduling, digital railway, policy, safety and regulation.
In his early career, Vernon was a rail operations manager in Britain and France. He then worked as head of the train planning consultancy team of Comreco Rail and product manager for digital railway systems supplier, Vossloh Information Technologies. Since joining Steer in 2004, he has worked mainly in France, Belgium and the UK for a range of clients including railway undertakings, infrastructure managers, regulators, ministries, and the European Commission.
Vernon leads Steer’s activity in the rail sectors of France and Belgium. He also acts as a rail expert for studies concerning interoperability and regulation, and in support of transactions.
