Liliana Pereira speaks at THE PEP about the role of gender in enabling more inclusive transport systems

The Fifth High-level Ministerial Meeting of the Transport, Health and Environment Pan-European Programme (THE PEP), which took place from 10-18 May 2021, was co-organised by the United Nations and the World Health Organisation. The event focused on the vital link between transportation, health, and the environment.

Our Latin American Head of Operations, Liliana Pereira, was part of a panel of fellow experts discussing the need for integrating a gender perspective in transport policies to enable more inclusive transport systems in the Transport, Health and Environment: The Gender Perspective webinar (linked below).

With a focus on her experience working in transport consultancy, Liliana provided practical examples of mainstreaming the gender perspective, focusing on her work on the FCDO's Prosperity Programme in Mexico and a current study on the social dimension of the future EU transport system.
