Rachel Brisley joins Steer to develop a new climate resilience offer

Steer is pleased to welcome Rachel Brisley as our new Associate Director in the Manchester office. Rachel is a specialist in climate resilience with over 25 years’ experience in the private, public and voluntary sectors working in social, economic and physical regeneration.

Prior to joining Steer, Rachel worked at JBA Consulting where she developed the Policy, Strategy and Research Climate Resilience Service and supported the development of the National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy. She has a wealth of experience of directing projects for both the public and private sector clients across the UK and Europe. Rachel also had a successful 15-year career in the public and voluntary sectors.

At Steer, Rachel will be developing our climate resilience service that enhances and complements Steer’s existing services across cities, infrastructure and transport and will help to grow and strengthen our presence in the climate resilience sector.

“We are delighted to have Rachel join the Steer team,” said CEO Hugh Jones. “Climate resilience is increasingly becoming embedded in economic and infrastructure planning and Steer is developing a forward plan to ensure that climate resilience is prioritised in all projects. With the skills and experience that Rachel brings, we can provide clients with comprehensive advice on the ever-expanding challenges our clients face.”
