Steer Davies Gleave named Transport Consultant of the Year at the London Transport Awards 2017

Steer Davies Gleave is delighted to have been awarded Transport Consultant of the Year at the London Transport Awards 2017.

The London Transport awards, presented by Transport Times, is a prestigious event recognising excellence in the transport industry and rewarding innovation and progress for transport initiatives across London. This year’s event, on the 2nd March at the Riverbank Plaza Hotel in London, saw Steer Davies Gleave honoured in front of an audience of over 500 guests across the transport industry for the quality of our portfolio of projects in London.

The Consultant of the Year category is open to companies working with local authorities and transport authorities to supply consultancy services for transport and planning. Steer Davies Gleave’s entry, which included our work examining a range of options for improving Oxford Street West and our collaboration with several stakeholders to steer integrated planning in East & South East London, showed some of their key strengths such as the ability to work in close partnership, the ability to be efficient and to provide innovative solutions.

Transport for London Commissioner Mike Brown MVO said: “Everyone working in transport – whether planning the services, building the routes, repairing the trains or pulling together the customer information – has a role to play in ensuring London thrives”.

Sharon Daly, Steer Davies Gleave’s UK Managing Director said: “We are hugely proud of the contribution we have made with our clients, over the past year, to improve the sustainability of London and the lives of Londoners and those in the neighbouring areas. It is great to see our efforts recognised in the industry with this prestigious award”.
