Projects

Steer supported the Canary Wharf Group in developing the masterplan planning application at Wood Wharf and achieving outline planning permission in December 2014.

The excellent existing transport infrastructure, £6bn improvement scheme at London Bridge rail station, and access to the Thames has placed London Bridge at the forefront of future economic and residential growth.

Transport for London (TfL) was keen understand how car users would respond to the proposed expansion of the Ultra-Low Emissions zone in London (ULEZ). The proposals, to be introduced by the end of 2019, would impose charges for older petrol and diesel vehicles over an area bounded by the north and south circular roads.

In 2008 Brazil was awarded the right to host the 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup. As part of the preparations, Brazil chose to invest in twelve new and extensively refurbished football stadia to be show cased to the world.

Our people

Riccardo is an urbanist with a multi-disciplinary background in masterplanning and regeneration and he has more than 14 years’ of experience in urban design.

He has worked on masterplanning and spatial strategies with a specific focus on high density mixed-use urban schemes and town centre revitalisation in the UK and Europe.

Projects

In order to plan new cycling infrastructure that best serves the need of London, in terms of existing, potential and future cycling demand, Transport for London (TfL) conducted a study to identify a pan-London Strategic Cycle Network. A key feature of this study was mapping outputs from TfL’s innovative new Cycle Network Model for London (CYNEMON).

Steer and joint venture partner, Hatch, have been responsible for delivering +/- 30% design and +/- 15% cost estimation certainty, as well as business case development to secure funding for the Surrey LRT Newton-Guildford Line and the Surrey-Langley Rapid Transit Line.

The Mayor of London made up to £1m available to boroughs to set up pilot Low Emission Neighbourhood (LEN) schemes. The purpose of LENs is to introduce a range of measures to improve local air quality by reducing emissions and people’s exposure to air pollution.

Islington Council held a long-term ambition to reconnect Archway town centre by removing the gyratory to unlock urban realm and regeneration potential through improved access and conditions for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users.
